To carry a member from first credential to employed practitioner (structured certification pathways, active mentorship, post-certification career support, and community engagement), removing financial and accessibility barriers for people entering the field, and building VTP’s professional cohort in both number and standing.

Projects
Certification · active
Curated study tracks from CompTIA Security+ through advanced credentials, with priority for candidates from underserved communities. Qualified candidates receive full exam-voucher sponsorship once they reach the practice-exam benchmark, plus study materials and led study groups. Selection runs twice a year, in April and October.
About CertificationMentorship · active
Experienced professionals pair with candidates under a mutual commitment agreement and a six-month roadmap, with weekly Office Hours (Thursdays, 7:00 to 7:30 PM Eastern) open to mentors and candidates.
About MentorshipPlacement · chartered
Support after certification: individualized career plans, connection of vetted members with recruiters, and entry-level placement. Chartered by the board; it starts when a project lead is appointed.
Community Engagement · chartered
VTP’s public presence: partnerships, job-fair booths and event representation, and community-event outreach. Chartered by the board; it starts when a project lead is appointed.
Technical Alumni
Members who complete a VTP certification track become Technical Alumni. One status opens four doors: serving as a mentor, the invitation pool for the Von Terra Fellows, recruiter matching through Placement, and a listing in the professional directory.
Impact
A pipeline of certified, mentored, and employed professionals: the people behind the cohort of 50 the organization is building toward, and the talent that everything else VTP does depends on.
