Chief Operating Officer
Annie is a proud veteran, partner, horseback rider, and embroidery enthusiast. She believes that resilient communities are built through shared responsibility and thoughtful leadership, and she brings that philosophy to her work every day.
Prior to joining The Von Terra Project, Annie served in leadership and analytical roles within the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), where she supported enterprise risk management, continuity policy, performance management, and strategic planning efforts under formal governance structures. She also held roles with the Government Accountability Office and the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, gaining experience in emergency management, continuity planning, and risk analysis across complex public-sector environments.
Annie began her professional career serving five years in the United States Army, where she developed a foundation in operational discipline, leadership, and public service.
Passion & Mission
Annie is driven by a desire to help others and the belief that all everything in society is connected we all fail or succeed together. At The Von Terra Project she works closely with executive leadership to identify operational and strategic risks, prioritize initiatives, and strengthen internal processes as the organization scales. She oversees enterprise risk management, performance measurement, board reporting, and cross-functional coordination to ensure that the organization operates with clarity, accountability, and resilience.
